What our guests have to say about La Quinta Amada Bed and Breakfast

Quinta Amada - Bed and Breakfast

Service with a personal touch
At first, I decided to visit Tlaxcala alone, and I felt a little bit upset (Cause I'm not familiar with the transportation, language, etc)Then I tried to make a call to this villa.Sharon answered the phone, after talking with her, I felt safe and warm immediately and didn't worry about this trip any more. At the last minute, three friends joined me together. And afterwards they said they've really made a right decision!
I've long dreamed for a colourful house with a lovely garden.

And this is exactly the house I want!
Auntie Sharon cooked nice breakfast for all of us, and uncle Jaime spent two days with us, taking us to Huamantla (an exciting bull fighting festival there) and the downtown of Tlaxcala.
People here (not only Tlaxcala, but most places of Mexico) are very friendly, and this gives me the reason to learn Spanish.
I hope next time I come to Mexico (If I have the chance) I can communicate with local people in Spanish.

Before, some foreign friends (From Germany and Singapore, etc) asked me whether I had considered to immigrate to other country. My answer was "No.Never think about it.."But after this trip, I really changed my mind and began to accept this idea. Hope I can visit here again if I have the chance! (Maybe next time together with my husband;))

Service with a personal touch
Sharon and her husband have created a beautifully warm, welcoming Mexican retreat with their B&B. All the rooms are large, exquisitely decorated with locale flavor and immaculately maintained. You’ll enjoy a wonderful breakfast cooked to perfection by Sharon. She’ll join you if you want company or leave you alone with all you need. We found Sharon to be a truly gracious hostess, a great conversationalist, and willing to go the extra mile to make your stay enjoyable.

Excellent B&B; in the center of Mexico
My friend and I stayed at the Quinta Amada for almost one month. We absolutely loved the place. The rooms are very well decorated and soo comfortable. You can see the Malinche and Popocatepetl volcanoes from the balcony! We often walked or took the local bus (only 10 minutes) to the center of the city. Some very good restaurants there and really not expensive. The people are friendly and it is very peaceful. Also many opportunities for trekking in that area or visiting villages or ruins (like Xochitecatl). Sharon is a perfect host, very attentive and she cooks the best breakfasts! We will never forget her homemade muesli (with local fresh yoghurt and fruits), her waffles and muffins! Mexico city is only at 1h30 drive and Puebla (charming city) 50 minutes from Tlaxcala. It is an excellent base to discover the center of Mexico and feel like home. Thank you soo much for everything Sharon, hope we can visit you again soon!

Hidden gem!
La Quinta Amada is a beautiful, newly built (5 years old) home sitting on a small hill just on the edge of town. Great views of the town, mountains and valley and lights at night. The neighborhood is quiet and the only excitement seems to be the school kids going to and coming from school.
The house itself is 3 levels. The second floor is for guests. There are 3 huge rooms with large tiled bathrooms with showers . . . A wrap around porch offers views of the city and mountains.
The hosts, Jamie and Sharon are bilingual, can arrange tours and activities if you like. They are extremely accommodating. Your choice of breakfast is offered. Fresh bread is delivered from their neighbor right next door. He apparently has an oven beside his home and delivers bread to various places in the valley.
We only stayed two nights but felt like old friends by the time we left. We would definitely go back!

Breathtaking tranquility
Peaceful, beautiful, comfortable and romantic. This inn is truly my home away from home. Imagine waking up in a colorful room on a beautiful Mexican hillside, stepping out onto your balcony and taking in the view of two volcanoes wreathed with clouds, then going downstairs to enjoy the most delicious authentic Mexican breakfast of your life. You can have that and more at La Quinta Amada. This inn offers all of the delights and color of Mexico with all the comforts of home. I have had a lot of experience with Mexican hotels and bed and breakfasts. Some of them seem beautiful on the outside but it is almost impossible to get the basics like clean water to drink and hot water to shower with. The owners of this bed and breakfast made sure you have everything you need and more. Plus, they speak English and are very familiar with the events and attractions of the area and are more than willing to help you experience the sights and traditions of Mexico. I had my wedding in a little church close to the inn and my family stayed with me at La Quinta Amada. Some of them were new to travel in Mexico but everyone felt perfectly comfortable in this inn. You will never need to worry about your safety here, it is extremely secure. I cannot imagine a more perfect or romantic place to have gotten married. But even if you are not interested in romance, you should come here for the beauty, the safety, the tranquility and the fun. Staying in this inn is truly something you will never forget.

La Quinta Amada is delightful. One of the very best.
Finding La Quinta Amada on the web was great good luck. It was everything the website described and really even better. Staying there was a highlight of a great trip to Mexico City, Teotihuacan, and Tlaxcala. I stayed in first class hotels in Mexico City and Teotihuacan but most enjoyed La Quinta Amada. It is a perfect location to make day trips throughout the area to major archeological, historic, and natural sites. I went also to climb La Malinche and Cuatlapanga and the views of the mountains from La Quinta Amada were inspiring. Tlaxcala itself it very interesting and La Quinta Amada is a good location to walk to Tlaxcala and there is easy access to all forms of public transportation. It is set off the main road and so more peaceful. The building and garden are beautiful and the public spaces are very fine for relaxing. There are many amenities and a good library. The individual rooms are light and airy and beautifully decorated. Everything is immaculately clean. Much thought has gone into every practical and aesthetic detail with consideration of providing a guest with comfort and an experience of the cultural treasures of Mexico. The hosts have personal ties to Tlaxcala and a great knowledge of the area. To the degree a guest wishes, they are very pleased to provide detailed information about the area and help in navigating all practical matters. I had planned a rather rigorous trip and returning each evening to La Quinta Amada was a pleasure. My experience of Tlaxcala was greatly enriched by my host’s generosity and consideration. I hope to visit again. I have stayed in a variety of lodgings in the U.S., Mexico, South America, and Europe. La Quinta Amada is one of my favorites.
